Chicken Run 2

Berlin suffers now a “heatwave”, pretty similar to our perpetual summer back in Venezuela. It has been ages since I visited so naturally, I lost my ability to tolerate hot weather (I felt like a sellout at this point). That being said, we still gotta eat. Spicy stuff this time, very easy to do and of course it is aimed at the lazy ones like me. Let’s go!

In it

Rice:

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • a half cup of green peas
  • a teaspoon of olive oil
  • 3 drops of vinegar
  • salt & pepper

Chicken:

  • a couple of brown mushrooms
  • 150 grams of chicken
  • a teaspoon of dried coriander
  • Curcuma
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper
  • A tablespoon of olive oil

How to

Rice:

Add the salt, pepper and olive oil, then boil all together for 7 minutes or until it looks like in the picture. (TIP: add 3 drops of vinegar for extra flavour)

Chicken:

fullsizeoutput_459
Mix the chicken with the spices and the oil

Chop the mushrooms to add later

When the pan is hot, use a cube of butter until it melts (TIP: try using always a metallic pan, it works pretty fast)
fullsizeoutput_455
Stir fry the chicken

Once brown, add the mushrooms (they cook rather quickly)

Serve
